Are you spending too much time in front of your computer?
One of our affiliates recently sent me a link to his Blog which provides a very interesting summary of popular holiday destinations. In his Blog, he makes the following comment:-
“2010 should take social-networking a step further by taking all that interaction from the virtual to the real. So, this year is all about huge parties and events that would allow you to meet more people and widen your social network. Facebook is well and good, but there’s nothing like getting to know people, face-to-face.”
That statement really struck home.
I am currently in Australia – my first visit in just over 3 years and am catching up with family, friends and business associates I normally communicate with via email or Skype.
Being able to get together face-to-face has been absolutely fantastic.
Yes, we do live in a new digital world and there are going to be a lot more Facebook’s, Twitters and other social media which come along.
However, nothing beats one-on-one face-to-face communications – and nothing probably ever will.
In fact, the vast majority of business is still conducted on a personal basis and even many of the relationships which drive online developments are concluded on a face-to-face basis.
So, whatever you do, don’t let the online spin doctors tell you that online is the only way to go. It isn’t!
You have to sell – and the best way to do that is still on a one-on-one basis.
Online is far more difficult simply because there is so much clutter!/
Taking a holiday and getting away from your computer is a great way to get back to reality!
